The Art of Balloon Sculpture has advanced incredibly since the days when the most impressive display was a clown twisting several short fat balloons into a dog shape.  Improvements in materials, manufacturing technology and sculpture techniques now allow an increasing variety of balloons to be shaped into quite intricate and ornate single and multiple balloon sculptures.

Generally, by "balloon twisting" we refer to the art of balloon sculpting or "modeling", that is to say, making balloon sculptures using primarily figure tying (non round) balloons, as opposed to balloon decorating, (sometimes called "balloon stacking"), where primarily round balloons are used.

"Balloon Jams" - Like musicians having a "Jam session", twisters like to get together and "Jam", exchanging designs, concepts and techniques.
